It’s what’s for dinner.
I am notorious in very small circles for the fact that I’ve kept notebooks containing our weekly dinner menus for the past 6 years. It began when we had our first child, and I quickly realized that the ol’ every-other-day run to the grocery store was no longer an option. I started planning a whole week’s meals, making a shopping list, and trying really hard to only go shopping once.
Some friends of ours had the bright idea, last spring, of sharing a google spreadsheet with each of our weekly menus. We could share ideas, and be inspired, during those sometimes hair-pulling evenings spent trying to come up with a delicious, healthy, fast, efficient, easy-cleaning menu (and why should that be difficult?). Our shared spreadsheet was updated for all of two weeks, and then life took over. I’m hoping this one will fare better.
Also feel free to click the archive links below, for past menus. I’ll try to keep the list up-to-date; since I’m still somehow attached to my paper and pen, it’s a second step to update the sheet. Maybe someday I’ll have both feet planted firmly in the realm of the digital, and stop using old-fashioned checkbook registers, too.
* Ok, we moved in May. And the summer has gotten completely out of control in our household — so my menus are non-existent (or are, rather, chicken scratches full of question marks written optimistically in a new notebook that rarely gets face time in my kitchen). I hope to get it together sometime before fall, and start posting again. Thanks for your patience!
