I love the colors and blurred activity in these photos. I also love to my cousin (the red beard guy) is in one of the shots. :)

yeah, there was *some* blurry in the photos that was, um, unintentional. it’s called low light, long exposures, and unsteady, shopping-bag-weighed-down hands.

so your cousin works for… Smoking Goose?

Beautiful. So much green!

I so wish I had gone! I didn’t realize until too late that last Saturday was the first day it opened. And of course, yesterday I had to work. And next week we don’t get back in town from New York until after noon. I wallow in self pity. :-(

I saw that one vendor had “We Accept Eat Well Bucks” and “Veggie Bucks” on a sign. Is that the Indiana public assistance program for food?

One of the most positive things that the Dept. of Human Services in Mississippi has done is make arrangements with many farmers’ markets in the state to accept the state’s food assistance debit cards.

Ah, the vegetables. My soul is aching for them. As is it, vegetables aren’t as plentiful in NOLA as I would have hoped.
I miss midwest farmers markets terribly.
